Yesterday

I've definitely got the job at Royal Holloway. It's classes for students & staff only, not open to the public. And it's blooming Drop-Ins, which is a bugger, but I've done it before, so I guess I can live with it.

The choreography is proceeding very slowly. It's a lovely song, and I can improvise to it just fine, because I know it well. But the more I try to choreograph it, the more its delightful musical intricacies make my task difficult. Bits of it are easy. So easy that the difficulty is in not making it predictable. But the main challenge is in the song's transitions. They extend. They smoosh. They demand that you pay attention to them. In short, they are a right bugger.

And this morning, my pear-shaped crystals arrived and they are very very pretty. This weekend I shall be mostly sewing the White Baladi Costume.

Yay for the crystals turning up, and a bigger yay for the new job!

Royal Holloway is an awesome university- I nearly applied there but it was a little too close to my mother home.
