No Beginners class again this term

The Beginners class in Farnham is unlikely to go ahead. The Improvers/Intermediates class is safe, don't know that I'll have brilliant numbers, but it's enough for the class to go ahead. So I'm in the same position as last year.

It's worrying, that I've got no beginners coming up through the ranks. I'm reasonably sure I can hold on to students, but it's inevitable that some fall by the wayside, so with no beginners moving up, I'm concerned that I'm going to lose student numbers in the long run. I've said I don't mind Beginners joining the Improvers class, so long as they understand I'm not going to teach basics- it's an Improver/Intermediate level class, not a Beginners class.

The Guildford classes are going the same way, I suspect. I hate the thought of having to amalgamate classes, but I suspect that's how it will pan out.
ETA- Hooray!!!!! I just got confirmation that both Guildford classes will be running!!!! So it's slightly less doom & gloom!

Ridiculously, the class which is the most financially secure is the brand new one at RHUL, because it's got a year's funding from the Sports Council. It's Drop In classes, which I don't know exactly how I'll make work. But I will.
