Saturday Night Sewing

I do have a Social Life, honestly I do. However, Saturdays are generally reserved for the Gentleman Friend, and he is poorly at the moment, so he is not here.

Which left me with a spare Saturday evening. And this afternoon, when out shopping I'd popped in to the fabric shop, to top up my supply of really thick interfacing, and I picked up some fabric remnants, which were still outrageously expensive, because this shop just *is* outrageously expensive, with a view to making more costume bags. Because I've still got a load of costumes that are still in plastic carrier bags.

Anyway, as soon as I saw this one, I thought of Ozma. It used to be 60 cms of upholsterly fabric, and now it is one big costume bag, plus a smaller accessories bag, for keeping gauntlets and headbands and such together in. The big one is a drawstring bag, because I feel confident with them, and the fabric wasn't big enough to try again with the zips. The smaller bag is a plain square that fastens with velcro.

Now I've got to decide whether I start making the Hyacinth Lace costume. It's just that I've got that lilac & turquoise Hawaiian print lycra that's looking lovingly at me, making a mockery of my so-called plans. I must be strong.
