Skirt making = Stash Busting = Good

I was feeling very guilty about having bought that minty green lycra the other day, and I decided I needed to get the stash down a bit, to justify it. Hence my skirt-making frenzy. Also, it's good to have some summer skirts ready for when there' some sun.

The new skirts:

This is the second circle skirt, and it's made from the stuff I used to line the Turquoise costume.

And this is the stripey aqua rose fabric made into a slightly more complex circle skirt. To be honest, I don't think I'd go out of my way to do this one again.

The stash is now down overall, which is good, but not by very much. I've kept the black & pink heart & shoes fabric out, because I want to do something with it, but that's a much smaller piece. I'm thinking I'll make a little skirt thingy to go over leggings, for class. But I *might* make a skirt for real life... We'll see.

The black and white skirt looks GREAT! I am not quite sure how the stripy aqua works...

It's a square of fabric, with a slash in it for the waistband. The waistband is a tube of fabric, and can be folded over. I got the destructions here:

Whereas the b/w one is a straightforward circle of fabric, with a circular hole in it, and a bit of elastic for the waistband.
