Jigsaw puzzle skirts

Today I am going to try and piece together the makings of a mermaid-ish skirt out of the pink lycra bits that I've got left over from all the baladi dresses. I've got lots of long thin bits of fabric, which is going to be fine for the main skirt element. It's the godets that will be problemmatical. I'm thinking that I can cut long thin triangles, and jigsaw puzzle them together. But this remains to be seen.

And if I can do it with the pink, then I may as well do it with the purple bits at the same time.

ETA - OMG, existential crisis, panicking at the thought... Does this break my rule on One Project At A Time Only? I think I can justify it, if I think of the Pink Confetti as having two sets of interchangeable skirts... Is that too much of a squeeze?

Oooh, really looking forward to seeing this one when you finish it! :)

I find that I work better if I have two projects on the go at once. You can reach saturation point with something and that's when it's nice to have another one to work with.

Interchangeable skirts sounds like an excellent way to get a lot of use out of a costume. Not a squeeze at all.

Sounds very cool! In fact I assumed that this was a skirt for Pink Confetti that would just happen to be useful for other things as well. Squeeze? What squeeze?
