Baladi dress

I've done most of the work that I planned for today on the Baladi dress.

I've added crystals to the neckline. It may well be that I need to add more, depending on how the student likes it. We've got the dress rehearsal tonight, so I'm going to take the spare crytals with me, so that I can sew them on there & then, if needed.

I've added the ribbon decorations, to the sleeve hems and the top of the side splits.

I've added long bead & sequin dangles to the side splits, to give a bit of extra movement.

I decided against adding any more rhinestones, because I don't think the dress actually needs them, but we've still got that option, if the recipient feels it does. I'd have to bring the dress home with me to do that after rehearsal, and give the glue plenty of time to set, before the performance tomorrow.

So it's a Schrodinger's cat dress- potentially finished, but potentially not, a state of being that is uncertain until the student metaphorically opens the box!

We decided to add more crystals to the neckline, to take it up towards the shoulder seam.

She was very happy with it!
