Embellishmentation

I've done all the edge-beading humanly possible. Now comes the scary Make It Pretty bit.

What I want to do is make appliqués that I can apply to the bottom of the skirt, one on either side of the split, to the top of the split (with additional spot-fringe/bead drops), to the tops of the skirt godets (with the same drops), to the anklets, and to the top of the gauntlets (also with the drops).

I don't want the appliqué to be very big or obvious, as this is not a full costume, I don't want the decoration to be an obvious motif that will clash with whatever bra & belt set I wear it with. I want the embellishment to be a barely-there

I was thinking of roundels, using the lime & white beads that I've been using for the edge-beading, and adding small and larger pearls. I hadn't really thought too much about it, because of not being sure how the extra supplies would work out.

Here's my first experiment. I kinda like it, but I didn't have any sort of template, so the circle's a bit wonky, although nowhere near as wonky as I had feared! Now I know roughly how big this would be, I can make a decent template for it.

I've got lots of long train rides ahead this weekend, so there will be some progress.
