I've started a very see-through baladi dress. It's in a sort of navy/French navy glittery mesh.

It's a bit darker than this, really.

It was quite foolish to start, actually, because I'm not at all prepared for this project. For starters, I'm sure how I'm going to handle the see-through-ness. The obvious solution is little shorts and a bra, like I did with the White Baladi. But I'm going to have a think about alternative options, you never know, there might be interesting creative possibilities.

The other Unknown is that I've got no idea. At. All. About how to decorate it. But the decoration could be a possible anti-see-through-ness option, so I'm going to mull that one over.

Given my determination not to start any other projects until the current one is finished, I fear I may have started entirely the wrong project!

In the meantime, I've got two student Baladi dresses to make[*], so I think tomorrow may include a trip to Reading Fabricland for purple lycra. And hope that I can be very focussed and not buy anything else!


[*] The student dresses are exempt from the One Project At A Time rule, because they aren't mine.
