Physio appointment

I saw a very nice physiotherapist this morning, who did not laugh in my face for getting a referral despite not actually having an obvious problem, and who actually was able to give me some very practical advice.

So, I need to make changes to how I use the puter, because that seems like a big culprit in ruining my shoulders. And I've got some straightforward exercises to do over the next week or two, until I see her again. She also mentioned the possibility of acupuncture, which I'm not sure about. I generally tend to be dismissive of alternative therapies, I'm not entirely convinced how sticking needles in me would help, compared to having tons of soft tissue massage.

The good thing was she was happy with my flexibility. She was vaguely surprised (people often are) as to how I can have this massive tension in my upper trapezius and yet be able to move my head and shoulders pretty freely. I'm putting that down to bellydance!

I got the same response from pretty much everyone (including the chiropractor yesterday) about my range of motion, which is still limited, but pretty good, comparatively speaking.

I'm glad you're taking care of your should issues BEFORE they become major.
