Travelling to JoY

I'm looking at my JoY travel options.

If I book a return from Guildford to Shipley by train, it will cost £109.

Last time, I cunningly booked a single to Shipley to get there, and to get back a single to London and a single from London to Guildford. That shaved about £30 off the total. So I looked to see if that was at all possible.

Nope, I can't find a cheaper ticket, no way, no how. In fact it looks like the Eurostar ticket for the following weekend is going to be cheaper. Who'da thought?

Looks like I may be driving there.

Chepa tickets are only available up to the friday . . so might be worth waiting until advance tickets have been released for the whole weekend.

There's a National Express coach from London (Victoria) to Shipley for £12.80 each way. It is 5 hours odd though (ouch!), so you'd probably need to factor in £40 for a physiotherapist too! LOL

Seriously though, Woogle is right - keep an eye on the train ticket releases, the cheap ones for the return journey haven't been released yet.
