Cairo Catch Up- Thursday Felucca

We started Thursday with a felucca ride. Some of the group were visiting the Museum in the morning, and the rest of us met them at the boatyard. After a Wednesday of no photos, I did manage quite a few.

And the obligatory cat photo:

It was a glorious day (well you can see that from the photos), and the felucca glides along the water in such a relaxed way, I could happily have stayed all day. I had to fight the urge to try and trail my fingers in the water, all Lady of Shallott style, because it *is* the Nile after all, and I'd quite like not to develop gastroenteritis. Nibal, who had joined us, assured us that there are no crocodiles in the Nile now, because of the Aswan dam. But there was *one* crocodile!

We passed lots of Party Boats, blaring out sha'abi music. This one had particularly powerful speakers.

And we also passed the Golden Pharaoh, one of the more spectacular restaurant boats.

But we were busy people, and it was soon time to come back to land, and on to Hannan's for lunch and the various provas.
