Fab Crazy Floral Thoughts

I'm having further thoughts about which costume project to tackle next. The Hyacinth Lace was way up there at the top of the list, but I'm now looking at the Fab Crazy Floral print fabric and wondering if I'd rather do that one before it.

I'm reconsidering what I can do with the FCF. When I started thinking about it properly, rather than just having the vague idea in my head of what I thought might work, I realised I probably haven't got enough fabric to make the A-line skirt that I'd originally got planned for it. Not that AND cover a bra. So I had to look at my options.

Option A - Buy more fabric, it's still available
Option B- Make a straight skirt instead of an A-line one.
Option C- Use the burgundy lycra to make a panelled A-line skirt, with the front & back panels in the FCF and the side panels in burgundy.

Pros & Cons of each
Option A- Pro, I get the costume that I had in my head. Con, an extra expense, a bit of a wait (these are, admittedly, marginal cons)
Option B- Pro, no extra expenses and it's a new skirt style that I haven't tried making yet. Con, I don't think it's a very practical style for dancing in, nor is it very flattering to my figure.
Option C- Pro, no extra expenses, it could be a very flattering skirt style, it's an interesting colour combination. Con, I couldn't do the two skirts for the same bra idea that I had.

I'm currently favouring options A & C, with B a very poor third. Any input from flisties on options A B or C, or possible options D E or F, would be most welcome.

And then there's the possibility of starting the Pink Confetti Stashbuster, but I need to marinate the ideas for that one for a while first.

I honestly believe that straight skirts are not that nice. And I say this as a person who used to wear them a lot. The only way I would say "oh yes straight skirt for Bea" would be if you had one that was slit high over one thigh, so it was really more like a long skinny wrap that showed off your lovely legs.
