Plans for 2012

Aside from the performing plans, which are being formulated under Project Put Myself About a Bit, I need to think about what I'm going to do about learning stuff in the coming year. I'm still poor as a church mouse, so I have to be careful about how I spend my money, so it may well be that I skip on what seems to be obvious workshops.

In January I'm doing a brief workshop with Ranya. It's only a couple of hours, but I think it will recharge my batteries.

In February there's the Hosseny workshop weekend. Which, if the Gentleman Friend was a generous millionaire, I would be doing like a shot. But he isn't and I'm poor, so I have to make a positive decision about whether I'm going to do it or not. I have to confess, while I enjoyed his workshops at JoY, I'm not sure how much I actually learned from him. If I'm feeling particularly flush (should get a chunk of teaching money in January), and if there are places still available, I might do the Sunday (Baladi & Sa'aidi, without Cane, 6 hours total for £90), but I don't think I can justify doing the whole weekend, especially as Saturdays are generally Gentleman Friend days.

In April, I shall be at JoY, having my own private Eman-fest!

In September, I shall be doing workshops with Dina, at Shimmy in the City.

In October, there will be another JoY, and it remains to be seen whether I want to go to that one, it all depends on the teachers.

However, I am hoping that in October, I shall go to Egypt. That depends on a number of factors. But I'm needing an Egypt fix, and if I don't get it in October, that means waiting until March time of 2013, and that seems far too far away. Anyway, Egypt would fill my cup nicely! Inch'Allah!

I'm sure that there will be workshops available in the summer, with Yasmina and Lorna probably, and I would go along to those, I'm pretty sure.

I'm not sure what else there is on the horizon that I would be banging on the door to do, but that's a start.

September's difficult, with starting new classes up. What are the dates? BTW, the emotion website is still showing the November dates.
