A Fabricland Haul

I had to go into Fabricland today, to buy the pink & purple lycra for my students' baladi dresses, so I got a couple of things for me, while I was there.

The avid reader may recall that last time I was in Fabricland, I had spotted a rather cute apple print lycra, and although, I'd resisted buying it immediately, I had instead trusted to Fate. If it was Meant To Be, they would still have it in stock the next time I went in; if they had sold out of it, then Fate would have decreed that it was Not Meant To Be.

Fate said it was okay! So I've bought three metres of it, which should be plenty for a Baladi costume.

In fact, Fate was so okay about it, she also left about a metre of lime green lycra in the Remnants Bin, that matches it beautifully, for £3.50. I'm thinking it would work as the hip-scarf & mandeel fabric, as a contrast to the print.

To be honest though, even if I don't use it with the Apple Baladi, lime green is one of those colours that goes with everything: Black & lime green- Fab! Pink & lime green- Fab! Purple & lime green- Fab! Burgundy & lime green- Fab! (Are we sensing a theme here?) Honestly, I've been through all the colours I would ever think of wearing and there's nothing it wouldn't go with. It's practically a Neutral.

I see those as green cherries. Which made me start thinking of it as Sour Cherry Beledi, which sounds kind of awesome.

I love that our official neutral list now goes: Gold, Silver, Lime. ^_^

I wish we could get print lycra like that here! One never sees it! And I love print beledi dresses!
