The State of the Stash

I've just horrified myself!

I was tidying away the Fabric Stash. I only have one working suitcase, and most of the time it sits on top of my wardrobe, holding a selection of Melayas (because I often need spare melayas for teaching- I say "often", what I mean is "occasionally") and the Stash. So I had to empty it in order to use the suitcase to go away with to SBTS. And I foolishly decided to Document the Stash before I put it all away.

Arrrrgggghhhh!!!! It's all getting out of control!!!!! There's TONS of it!!!!!!!!

That's 21 sets of Fabric. That's an awful lot of sewing. And I'm not including the fabric I just bought for the two girls who need Baladi dresses for performing with Mirage in, which dresses I have to get made by Tuesday (though thankfully not decorated- I've palmed that one back to them!)

AHA! You ARE a sewing geek! These all count as unfinished projects!!!!

They don't count as projects until I've started them! That's because the project that may or may not have been in my mind when I first acquired the fabric may change over time, and may not end up quite as I originally thought.

It's all very Schrodinger.

All things are relative. I live in a tiny studio apartment, with pretty much NO storage at all. There's nowhere to put more stuff if I buy/acquire it.

Plus, it makes me feel guilty having that much spare stuff lying around!
