Pink Confetti- the Starting Point

While the bra itself is not yet photographable, I can (and jollywell will) show you what it's going to be decorated with.

If you are not good with pink, you'd best look away now.

Pink Confetti- the starting point

That's a load of candy pink lycra, and beads, sequins, charms, keyrings (yes I AM going to have my name all over my butt) and crystals in pink, purple, silver, clear, AB, and white.

And I will be making Fringe. This will be a first for me, but I've done my research, and you never know what you can do until you try.

That's definitely pink. I like it on everyone but me. My only decent pink on me is that hot hot fuschia.

Making fringe is fun, but tedious.
What size beads? I'd recommend a little seed bead spinner if you're doing them.
And lots of knots.

I also don't care what anyone says, my mum made her fringe with dental floss and I have costumes of hers that haven't lost but one or two strands in over 20 years.

I can only manage the blue-toned pinks, I can't go peachy. But that's fine by me, it still gives me plenty of leeway!

The beads are standard 11/0 size seed beads. I'm prepared for the fringing to be a dull and boring job. But there's only one way to learn how to do something, and that's to do it. And this way I'll be getting exactly the fringing that I want for this costume.

It'll be lovely, I'll bet!

Here's the Bead Spinner I used.

I need to know where you're getting your supplies! I had a demon of a time trying to find stuff for my first bedlah!

All my supplies came from within the UK, so I'm not sure my information would be much help to you!

Oh no! Well, it was worth a shot!

I will say that Ebay is my friend. It's easy to get hold of basic beading supplies, such as large quantities of seed beads for fringing and edging, swarovski sew-on crystals, fire polished czech beads, and odds & ends that you wouldn't even think about (like those keyrings with the letter charms!)

Oh, I LOVE it! Can't wait to see what it looks like!
