Fringing continues

In an attempt to make this weekend not *entirely* devoid of purpose, I did another load of fringing. I'm at a whopping 8" now! Already it's got a nice hefty weight to it.

Fringing continues- 8 inches done, lots more to go!

Don't worry, I'll try hard not to keep posting about the very small incremental growth in the length of fringe I've managed to make. It's just that this evening, I needed to do something fairly routine, that only requires minimal mental engagement.

But I've clearly reached the point where that's *enough* fringing for today, because the string I was working on went wrong three times, and I know how to take a hint when Fate is dropping them...

I need to work out a way of keeping all the rest of the fringe under control, while I'm working on it. So far I've just been tying it together with a spare bit of ribbon, but I may try hair elastics. If anyone has any suggestions, they will be welcomed!

I like the incremental beading posts : ) The pink brightens my day a bit.

Hey, don't hold back on my account, I know how exciting it is to finish a couple of inches of beaded fringe!

To keep the rest out of the way, try to roll or fold the ribbon so the fringe is close together, then use a hair elastic. Some people like to pin the ribbon to a piece of board while they are working and pin the rest of the fringe to the side/back.
