Adding the ruffles

Adding sequins

What do you all reckon?

I'm not sure about this... It would look *stonkingly* cute on someone with smaller breasts than me. I'm not sure how far I can pull off "cute" when it's all so big- you can't be chi-chi when you're big. So, serious question: keep going with the ruffles? Or go back to Plan A, and stick with the sequins?

I could go either way, so I would appreciate honest feedback.

Leave them off. I don't have an opinion on whether the ruffles look good on you, per se, more that in the photo the greens are off, not quite right. could be flash, but it would drive me bananas.

If I were to do ruffles, I'd be more inclined to edge the sleeves, hem and slits with them.

The lime green is staying regardless- even if it isn't in the ruffles, it will be used for the hipscarf and headscarf. It's not an exact match for either of the two greens in the print, but it goes with both of them, and the print needs a plain to offset it.

I have a costume where there is the *idea* of ruffles, more like ruffles light, in that the trim is cut more into big V's with loose darting, so that there is movement, but they don't read as ruffles. lemme see if I can find something like it online...

see the drapey ruffles on the slit? maybe something in between that and the tiny ruffles?

I do like these, and would like to use them in a costume, somehow, sometime.

I think somewhere in my head I had a larger, one-sided/edged ruffle in mind, but maybe that wouldn't hold it's shape in lycra...I'm not sure.
I can see what Kinadancer means about the greens, it's a closer match to the leaves than the apple thingys. Decisions decision...I realise I'm not being much help here ;) More experiments required???

I'm not feeling the brightly-colored ruffles.

Nor am I.

Can we see an apple-fabric ruffle with green sequins edging for comparison...LOL I don't ask for much do I?

The print pattern is too big to use with a smaller-sized ruffle. It simply wouldn't register as a design feature, unless you were quite inappropriately up-close to me!

I am not *passionate* about the ruffle.

Same here. It seemed like such a good idea before I did it, but it doesn't really make this particular bra zing. I think it would work on something else, so I'm filing the idea, but veering towards scrapping the frill in this case, and going back to the original design (with just a sequin edging).

I quite like the ruffles but they do rather make it look like a bikini top

Re: Ruffles
Agreed! As I said to Suzycat, I will file the idea for future use.

I'm late for the party, but I agree with filing the idea. How about a wide strap across the center of both cups, and a big bow in the middle? Creating an extra v-shape, and a bit of cuteness.

I'm a lone voice for the ruffles.

Thank you!

It looks like something Katy Perry would wear with the ruffles. And I'm not sure if that's a good thing for you.

Good point, well made!

Okay, I like the ruffle, BUT it may be too bathing suit-ish. *May* be, I'm trying to picture both in my mind, and I think with full bling ad dance make-up and all, it could work. But alone...it doesn't.

But I still must say that I like them!
