Workshop Notes

I think one of my long-term projects needs to be: putting all my hand-written workshop notes from WAAAAY back into some sort of order, and getting them into some kind of electronic format so that I can somehow tag them and access them more readily.

I used to do that all the time, but have been shockingly lax about this in recent years. In fact I put all my notes into a wordpress blog, but looking at that now (which I haven't done for months, maybe even years), I realise the last set of notes I actually transcribed, and then digitised, was in 2008. That's absolutely appalling. No wonder I retain so little from the workshops I take!

Time to get it all back under control and start being more disciplined about my learning! Boy, it's a good job I never throw my dance notebooks away!

I like looking through my dance notebooks and remembering the workshop and the festival I was at, who I was with etc. and I don't think I'd get that from an online thing. It would be great to pull up all the variations of a move I've ever done...oh good, another massive computer project :)

Teehee! I used to have all of mine on a Technique database for my Palm! I've still got the basic excel files it was based on. It's hopelessly out of date now, but maybe when I get a smartphone one day, I can revive it and update it!
