I managed to get out of the shop with the Stash unenlarged. Hooray!!!! OK, there's still the purple lycra that I bought for the Mirage dresses, but a) that's not *mine* and b) it'll be out of the house within the next couple of weeks. The only other things I bought were thread for the blue dress, and some fresh elastic for my loaner sagat.

The good thing about visiting Fabricland was that it gave me the chance to check possible colour schemes against the blue dress fabric. I'd not been sure about whether I should go for gold or silver for the metallic contrast, I thought gold would be more dramatic. But it definitely turns out that silver is the way to go. I also looked at possible colour contrasts- red or turquoise. Both of them work, and may possibly feature in the beading colour scheme. But silver works really well for me, because I've got a metre of silver foil lycra in the stash that would do very well for the bra & shorts to go under the dress. Which will use up more of the stash, and help me assuage my Stash-Guilt.

I've got a rough idea now of how I want to do the decoration. It will involve S-scrolls and curls and bead drops. But right now, I'm still uncertain about exactly how it will work out, because it depends on what beading supplies I've got already and what I need to order.

In the meantime here is a photo of the dress so far. No I don't have freakishly short arms, I prefer half-sleeves. Which is just as well as that's all that I could fit in the fabric I had available. And as you can see, it is ridonkulously see-through!
